Hello. Hi. Since leaving my Uncle and Aunty's place in Hong Kong I have had a few adventures. I am conflicted as I must admit I am tired and starting to yearn for home but at the same time thoroughly enjoying my experiences and opportunities. Firstly I flew to Chicago where my Dad was waiting with my brothers future car ready to drive me all the way down to Charlotte, North Carolina. The reason for this is my brother is moving permanently to San Francisco (from New Zealand), thus my Dad is driving his car all the way from Minnesota to him. I was heading to NC and am now here, to begin my month long Internship on a film. We were also joined by my Dad's friend and his daughter (who is also interning) for the long road trip. It was all going smoothly, until we got stuck on an extremely icy road. The heavy -non-four wheel drive- old car begun sliding all over the road, with a cliff on one side and a ditch on the other. It was inevitable that we would get stuck some way or the other. Which we did. For 3 hours. Well the car was stuck overnight. It was cold and desolate. Night arrived too quickly. We eventually had to get everything out of the car, including our considerably sized suitcases (mine had 2 months of travelling packed in it) and walk for aaaages down the icy hill with our loaded luggage. It was quite hilarious. I fell over once. Then a self-proclaimed "red-neck hick" called Tim picked us up. Yay Tim. Just been waiting for 3 hours in the cold night for you. Anna and I sat in the front while our Dad's had to bear the coldness lying in the back of his pick up truck. Tim continued to tell us the plot of The Deliverance and how we could of been raped by moonshine makers in the forest. I am pretty sure he was one of them. Anna said "At least it's not summer so there are no bears". If it was summer there would not be an icy road. But Tim said in his strong southern accent "Yea but there are rattle snakes, bob cats, cougars..." and continued to try to scare us. I was not phased. Tim and I bonded on our similar music tastes. He still buys CD's and is not aware of the "ipod". I was happy to hear this. Clearly I am not an Apple fan. He then told me I looked like Alanis Morissette. I don't think he actually knows what she looks like. I also learnt a valuable piece of information from him, "Never date someone who is related to a cop". Thank you Tim, I will treasure these wise words 4eeevaa. We successfully got our car out the next morning with Tim's help and headed to NC! Yay to civilization!
Good times! Literally the middle of nowhere. Hence no one cares about de-icing this road or at least a warning sign because normal people do not take this route.
Now what follows is a series of photographs called "The different facials/emotions of Olivia" taken annoyingly and consistently throughout the working days by Anna.

She will probably kill me for posting this.
Now I am working on a film! It is the squeal to The Ultimate Gift. I am acting as the Director's assistant and then also stuff here and there in the art department. It is all very fluid. The first day I got to go location scouting with the Director, which was very interesting. For the past few days I have been image researching specifics for the 1940's and 1960's for the Production Designer (my dream job). He was actually a set designer on Moonrise Kingdom! Cool right? I asked him about it and he told me he got to draw up Wes Anderson's tracking shots and what not! Cool! Also got my own copy of the script with my name printed all over it. I decided against taking a photo of it, in case I got in trouble or something haha.
Me celebrating something. Possibly finding some information!
Just at our favourite local coffee place!
My "please stop taking pictures of me on your stupid iphone" face.
At a college basketball game being a dork. Warming up to the idea of Anna snapping photos of me often.
Feeling smug at dinner.
